Hey!
After a month of hard work and venturing out into a medium I had yet to discover fully I finally experimented. Stayed up late all days creating, designing, innovating and finally I was satisfied with the end results. The grand finale of all this hard work came on the 15th of April 2012 when this collection was officially launched. The initial response was much more over whelming than I had initially imagined.
Khair, I have finally launched a collection that's truly close to my heart, not because of the medium i worked in but because to bring it to this level I had the support of the people I truly value in my life. My papa who spent hours driving me around the city for the raw material. My best friend Anam who not only edited but marketed the stuff all through the pre and post launch phase and is still on board always coming up with new and innovative ideas. Shahnawaz, the initial believer who made be believe in my own dreams and provided all the support he could, due to him i never had to face a single moment of indecisiveness as he so wholeheartedly believe in my dream that it erased any doubts I might myself have had. Sharmeen my bratty sis, my biggest critic, and when she appreciates my work I know I have truly outdone myself. Asym, although technically my sister's friend designed the logo so Asym you deserve a big thank you. And who else? Priyanka, Sumera, Ismail, Emad, Affaq, Owais, Sumi...I love you all...In your little ways you all contributed to this dream <3
So guys now that you have a rundown of the background, now more about the collection. This is basically a collection inspired by the colourful Qingqi Rickshaws (Chinchi or whatever Karachites call it) which are my favourite mode of transport living in Karachi. You may call it truck art, rickshaw, bus art whatever you prefer, the gist of all this is that this collection is basically a tribute to my colourful Pakistan. Each colour in this collection is symbolic of the colours that make up my country and its people. So this is a tribute to you all as well, these colours are you who all mingle up to create a beautiful picture called Pakistanis. My advice to you all is as these colours mingle up and become one in any bangle, earrings, ring, notebook, pen to create a beautiful piece therefore mingle up within yourselves regardless of who you are to create a beautiful piece of art called Pakistan.
Go choose a colourful piece from this collection for yourself or your loved ones and add a splash of vibrancy to your life. This collection has something everyone will fall in love with!
